The Pore Patrol

We helped relaunch Kiehl’s Rare Earth Clay Mask and debuted the new Pore Tightener, turning skincare into something fresh, fun, and a little magical. Targeting a Gen Z x East Asian audience, we translated the science of skincare into a visually playful, urban narrative.

The goal? Excite loyal fans and get new customers curious about Rare Earth’s precision.

Set in a city like New York, the videos show what a day in the city does to your skin, and how Rare Earth swoops in to restore it. Like tiny face-landscapers shoveling away dirt, or a miniature crew building scaffolding inside your pores. It’s playful, whimsical, and all brought to life by blending live-action with AI-generated visuals.

We hyper-zoomed into the model’s face to make the invisible visible. The challenge was making these tiny crews feel real while keeping the live-action natural.

The results? A miniature world that feels alive and magical… and it worked.

Rare Earth sales jumped 125% month-to-date, Kiehl’s China grew 51%, searches climbed 23%, and new customers spiked 60%!
